Scotland: Craigmillar Castle

When we were in Scotland, we visited lots of castles. One of them was Craigmillar Castle. Craigmillar Castle is a medieval ruins. Craigmillar Castle is likely to be the most well preserved medieval castles in the country. It is very enchanting, and sort of looks like a painting from a fairy tale book.

Craigmillar Castle is known for Mary Queen of Scots. You can see the room she slept in in the castle.

The castle has many hidden rooms and hiding spots that are fun to climb in. Up on the tower, you feel like you can see everywhere. You feel like you are queen or king looking over your majestic kingdom. There is a large courtyard with lots of grass.

Tip: Make sure you come on a sunny day, as in some places there are no roofs.

Have you ever visited a castle?
