Chocolate Banana Bread!

I made chocolate banana bread a few days ago–using a glutenous recipe to make a gluten-free version–and it was SO GOOD!!!

I used this recipe, but with a few changes.

Chocolate Banana Bread (based off of Two Peas and Their Pod’s recipe.)

  • 3/4 cup Gluten Free Flour (I used this flour)
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3 brown bananas
  • 1/2 cup salted butter (melted)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips, divided
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg

Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Prepare your pan (you can use cupcake tins to make muffins or a bread loaf pan). In a bowl, mix together dry ingredients. Set aside. Next, put your bananas in the mixer and mix them up until they are all mushy. Then add your wet ingredients to the bananas and mix until it is all smooth. Then add your dry ingredients, and mix, but don’t overmix! Next, gently stir in 3/4 cup of the chocolate chips. Pour batter into prepared pan and sprinkle on the rest of the chocolate chips. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until when you put a toothpick in you don’t see any batter, just chocolate chips. Enjoy!

Mine too! They ask me to make this all the time. I’m going to try making it with actual cocoa beans once we get more chocolate chips–it should be good!
