Planting a Raised Garden Bed

We started a container garden in on our patio recently (as you’ll know if you’ve been on my Instagram)

I had wanted a garden for a long time, so we finally got everything we needed.

We decided to get a raised garden bed off of Amazon. We picked a raised garden bed because that way then since we have a dog, she wouldn’t be able to eat everything. (Sorry Cali!) The one that we got is even self watering, so if we leave for a few days, then the plants won’t die as long as we fill up the reservoir! The reservoir also encourages the plants to put down roots, which is good. It was super easy to put together – it took me and my mom less than twenty minutes. See the one that we got here.

We got dirt, seeds, stakes, ties, and baby plants, and then we set up our garden!

We planted some carrots, peas, tomatoes, and strawberries! The tomatoes and strawberries we got as baby plants, but we grew the carrots and peas from seed.
