Okay, I’ve hit 5,000 words! For Camp NaNo so far, I think I’ve been doing…okay. (FYI, I changed my goal from 30,000 words to 25,000 words) I have been writing about Johnny the Fairy Godbrother, and right now one of my characters is yelling at everybody else that they shouldn’t be hiding and that they should all be fighting the trolls and getting this magical tiara back. (Yes, it’s all very confusing.) I thought I would maybe share an excerpt from the beginning of the story:
Once upon a time in a castle not so far away, there lived a ten year old boy named Johnny. Well, he wasn’t really a normal boy. He was a fairy. And a fairy godbrother at that.
He had brown hair and blue-green eyes. He had pink wings and a glittery pink wand. But he always said that pink was a very boyish colour. Pink was his favorite colour.
Who were his godsisters? Well, they were the three princesses of the country of Mastra. And Johnny thought that they were very annoying.
What do you think so far? What are you writing about for Camp NaNo?
