One of my friends a while ago asked if there were any good gluten free baking mixes. I told her that there were, and she asked me which ones. Here’s the list! (And yes, I love using mixes–if I don’t have time and need to bring something to a party, they are VERY useful. But sometimes I am also just lazy)
I really like the King Arthur Mixes–I’ve tried the chocolate cake, brownies, pancakes, and muffins. Personally, the muffins and brownies are my favorite. I like to add chocolate chips to the brownies 😉 One thing to make sure of is that since King Arthur company also makes glutenfull products, be positive that the mix you are buying is gluten free. I don’t worry about contamination though because the gluten free mixes are made in a special area with other equipment.
These mixes are pretty good–the pancakes are the best. I like their pancakes better than the King Arthur ones. Pamela’s also sells other things, like fig bars and granola bars. The whole Pamela’s company is gluten free so you don’t have to worry about contamination or anything.
I have only tried the gluten free lemon and blueberry scone mixes, but I thought they were pretty yummy. The mixes are expensive though.
As far as I can tell, Immaculate only has one gluten free baking mix. I hope they add more, because I love to make these cookies. They take like five minutes, and they always turn out really well–as long as I add about a teaspoon more of water.
What are your favorite gluten free baking mixes? Have you tried any of these mixes?
